What it does
- Compares your gross salary (per year or per month) with the 2026 Blue Card minimums: €50,700, or €45,934.20 for shortage occupations, new graduates and IT specialists with 3+ years of experience instead of a degree.
- Says whether the Federal Employment Agency has to approve the job, how far you are below the minimum, and which other routes fit: skilled worker visa, Chancenkarte, and the 45+ salary rule.
- Anmeldung step by step: what to bring (passport, Wohnungsgeberbestätigung), your two-week deadline from the move-in date, how to find an appointment, and what arrives afterwards (Meldebescheinigung, Steuer-ID by post).
- A first-90-days checklist with 14 steps: SIM card, bank account, health insurance, Steuer-ID, Rundfunkbeitrag, Haftpflicht, residence permit appointment, family doctor, driving licence. Each one explains the German term.
- Due dates counted from your move-in date, progress saved in your browser (localStorage), printable.
- Every figure linked to the official source (Bundesanzeiger, AufenthG, BMG, BZSt) with an "as of" date. English and German.
Why I built it
Most people I know who moved to Germany for work lost weeks to the same things: not knowing if the salary was enough for the Blue Card, hunting for a Bürgeramt appointment, and letters full of words like Wohnungsgeberbestätigung. The official information is good but spread over ten websites. So I put the three questions everyone asks in the first weeks on one page, with the source for every number.

Limits. Not legal advice. Figures as of October 2026; the Blue Card minimums change every January. Your embassy or Ausländerbehörde has the final word.
Run it on your own server
