What it does
- Nine contract types: gym, mobile, internet, insurance, streaming, newspaper, electricity and gas, club, and any other contract.
- Works out when the contract ends and by when the letter must arrive, including the 2022 rule: contracts from 1 March 2022 run month to month after the minimum term (§ 309 Nr. 9 BGB, § 56 TKG).
- Special cancellation where the law gives one: moving house (§ 60 TKG, § 41b EnWG), price increases (§ 57 TKG, § 40 VVG, § 41 EnWG), a claim (§ 92 VVG), slow internet (§ 57 TKG), good cause (§ 314 BGB), always with a regular cancellation as fallback.
- The letter is in German, asks for written confirmation, and can revoke the direct debit and forbid win-back calls.
- Print it or save it as a PDF, copy it as an email, or add the sending deadline to your calendar.
- Explains how to send it: Einwurf-Einschreiben, email, or the website's cancel button (§ 312k BGB), with every rule linked to the law text and dated.
Why I built it
Cancelling a contract in Germany is a small task with a big penalty for a mistake: miss the deadline by a day and an old contract runs another year. Most letter templates online stop at the letter and leave the date maths to you, or sit behind a signup. I wanted one that does the calculation, knows the 2022 rules, and keeps your address and contract numbers on your own device.

Run it on your own server
